Squad Up ("the App") is operated by Appsketiers ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Account information: when you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form).
Profile information: you may add a profile photo, a home region that you select from a list (we do NOT collect GPS or precise device location), your sport, playing position, and an optional "about me" description.
Content you create: squads you create or join, match records, calendar events, and messages you send to other users through in-app chat.
Device tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a push notification token so we can deliver alerts to your device.
Safety data: reports, evidence video, or blocks you submit about other users, to keep the community safe.
Advertising data: player screens display Google Mobile Ads. On iOS, the App asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before requesting an ad. If you allow tracking, Google may use a device advertising identifier to personalize and measure ads. If you deny tracking, the App requests non-personalized ads and does not access the advertising identifier. Google may still process IP-derived approximate location, device information, ad interactions, and diagnostics to select, deliver, secure, and measure ads. The App also presents Google's consent choices where required.
We do NOT collect precise GPS location, your contacts, or third-party product analytics data.
To create and operate your account; to provide squad, match, leaderboard, messaging, and notification features; to maintain community safety and respond to reports; to provide customer support; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App:
Convex - backend hosting and data storage.
Expo - delivery of push notifications.
Resend - sending password-reset emails.
RevenueCat - verifying subscription and purchase entitlements.
Google AdMob - delivering and measuring non-personalized player-screen ads.
Apple and Google - processing purchases you choose to make; we never receive your full payment-card details.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile screen. Deleting your account removes your personal profile and personal content. Some records needed to preserve other users' history (for example, completed matches involving other squads) may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form.
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and secure transport. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
You can edit your profile, disable notifications, block or report users, and delete your account from within the App at any time.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
